Thank to everyone who attended yesterday’s Opening Reception for Distant Relatives. What an incredible and impactful event, thank you to everyone coming with open ears and open hearts.
We are incredibly honored to be holding space for these works and supporting projects like these. Thank you to the incredible Artists and community members involved in these projects: Hjalmer Wenstob working with members of the Nuu-Chah-Nulth First Nation, Sonny Assu working with Charles Jules of the Ka:’yu:’k’t’h’/Che:k:tles7et’h’ First Nation and Paul John of the Ehattesaht-Chinehkints First Nation, Avis O’Brien working with Liǧwiłdax̌w Youth on Cape Mudge, Skeena and Corrine Hunt working with youth in Txasis and Yalis and Shawn Decaire and Cory Cliffe for your involvement, support and presence in this event and beyond.
