Join is in creating, sharing and learning about Art that Matters! Help us encourage the next generation of artists, support contemporary Canadian artists and make new connections along the way.
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic volunteers to lend a helping hand on an ongoing basis at our pop-ups, at community festivals, and other events. Criminal record checks are mandatory but completely free through the Volunteer Centre. We can’t wait to meet you!
Gallery Shop
In the Gallery Shop, volunteers generally work a 2 to 5 hour shift weekly. You must be comfortable working with the public, enjoy art, deal with sales, track visitors, register people for art classes and more. It’s a fun, creative environment and great work experience.
Events
For events, volunteers help with poster distribution, set up and take down, serving food and beverages as well as helping Staff with activities. We run Outreach programs through the Spring/ Summer Months in Campbell River which include Earth Day, Pride Events, National Indigenous People’s Day and many more!
Children and Youth Programs
For those who enjoy working with children or youth and participating in community events, the Gallery often has volunteers assist with school tours of the Gallery or other art activities. There are also opportunities to represent the Gallery or offer an art activity at special events out in the
