Call for Exhibitions for 2012
Submission Deadline: February 7, 2011
We invite proposals for exhibitions for the Main and/or Discovery Galleries for 2012. We are interested in all media and look for submissions from individuals, groups and/or curators.
Please mail or deliver submissions with:
(No e-mail or fax submissions please)
- A maximum of 20 slides or photos or images on CD (must be in jpeg format) with a written list of titles, dimensions and media corresponding to the images.
- Your CV (exhibition history of training and experience).
- Artist’s statement (tell us about your proposed exhibition).
- A self-addressed envelope with return postage (to ensure your submission is returned).
The Campbell River and District Public Art Gallery Offers:
- CARFAC artist fees
- Two exhibition areas, both available in this call: the Main Gallery at 1,250 square feet and the Discovery Gallery at 220 square feet - a floor plan is available at www.crartgallery.ca
- Annual visitation of 23,000 people
- Artist’s talks, workshops and classes related to the exhibitions
- Excellent media coverage
- An exhibition publication produced in-house

Artists who have previously had a solo exhibition at the Gallery are asked to wait
five years before applying again. Artists who have participated in group exhibitions (excluding the Members’ Show) should wait
three years before submitting new proposals.
Please do not propose a body of work that has been exhibited in the past year within a 100 km radius of Campbell River.
